Daniel Flinchbaugh (center), an alumni of Weitzman School of Design, and current Weitzman students worked with students at West Philadelphia High School to design and build raised garden beds in the high school courtyard, which were planted during the Netter Center celebration, as part of PennPraxis’ Design to Thrive program (Photographer: Tommy Leonardi)
The event included a health and wellness fair for blood pressure screenings, COVID vaccinations, and infection testing. Other services included those provided by Emily Dunuwila, who graduated from Penn with her master’s degree in 2022 and now is working at West Philadelphia High School as a Netter Center Silverman Fellow to offer a social emotional learning space after school.
